Councilor John Rice will speak at our meeting on March 1st.

The monthly luncheon starts at 12:00 noon ($5 charge) and Councilor John Rice will speak afterwards on what’s going on in Newton. Councilor Rice has represented Ward 5 since 2009. He is also the Executive Director of the Hyde Community Center.

Counselor Fuller is scheduled to speak at our meeting Wednesday, February 15th. The meeting will be 12:30 to 2:30pm. Ms. Fuller is currently a Newton Counselor at Large for the 7th District. On Saturday, Kathi Gariepy, a Master Gardener, gave an excellent slide show and lecture. She also answered questions about planting bulbs and gardening in general. Coffee and tea, along with baked goods, were served. Everyone had a great time.
