Entertainment
From music to drama, we have great entertainment at the Woman's Club. Come join us to hear wonderful music and see dramatic performances. We even participate! Loved trying the belly dancing!
Speakers
We have the most interesting guest speakers and educational topics . They speak about such a wide variety of things, from the history of women's rights, to stories from a Newton-born archivist/interviewer of famous people (like Martha Stewart and Bill Gates!), to the founder of Cabot's Ice Cream (yes, we got treats!).
Scholarships and other causes
We raise money for college scholarships to young Newton women who are seniors at Newton high schools. We also give support to the Second Step woman's shelter, as well as to veterans and to other causes.
Craft Fair
We host a yearly craft fair. It's amazing and wonderful. People come from all over to see and purchase our beautiful crafts.
Invitation to join our Women's Club
Our goals are Social, Educational, and Humanitarian. Our philanthropic work includes educational scholarships and support of women’s and veteran’s services. We build social camaraderie through regular meetings, guest speakers, and special interest groups such as social service, quilting, knitting, and crafts. Do you have a special interest that you'd like to share with others? When you're part of the Club, we will work to support any vibrant group of interested members that you're willing to lead! We are looking to expand both our social and philanthropic efforts and to strengthen mutual support and community among the women of Newton and surrounding towns. Please come meet us and take a look at what we have to offer. We think that you'll be glad that you did. We currently offer our membership for a modest fee of $40 for the 2026-27 Club year, which starts October, 2026.
